Note: Bike titled as a 1955 as it sat
unsold at the dealer until then. Matching frame and engine serial
numbers. Mileage: 08020 miles
Engine: The engine is the original 80
cubic inch Flathead completely rebuilt to factory specs using the
best parts available from current suppliers. Carburation is via
the Linkert. All casings and covers in excellent condition. The
engine is highly detailed, pistons are the original standard bore
and the valvetrain has been upgraded to run unleaded fuel.
Transmission: The transmission is the
original 3 speed unit and has been rebuilt.The clutch assembly runs
in a 10w oil bath. Shifting is via tank (on the left-hand side).
Tires/Wheels: New Dunlop Touring Elite
II's.Original rims are 16" front/ rear (chrome) laced to original
rebuilt wheel hubs via stainless spokes.
Paint: The paint is jet black (base/clear)
and is of top quality. The fuel tanks are OEM units in top condition.
Suspension: Original telescopic front
suspension completely rebuilt. The mounted OEM spotlights in excellent
condition, as are the handlebars and related trim. Rear suspension
consists of the original "floating axle" setup, with all components
rebuilt or replaced. Brake drums are original with new bonded linings
front and rear.
Chrome/Trim: The front fender side trim,
edge trim, dashes trim and speedo are in excellent condition. The
luggage rack, exhaust pipe, tanks, crash guards chrome are perfect.
Other Options: Original type leather saddlebags
and plunger seat.
Electrical: Original type 6volt system.
Rebuilt generator, new regulator, new battery, original coil.
